But when it got here and I took it to the jeweler to have it resized, I found out it was actually a size 6. Making the cost to resize it double what we had expected. Not a huge problem for me, but something to be considered. The stone itself sits up pretty high (about half an inch off of my finger) But the setting seems pretty sturdy so I'm not expecting too many problems. If you're new to black diamonds like I was, you should probably know that it's very hard to keep them clean. Because they are reflective and not translucent, any fingerprints are easily seen. I'm always shining mine so that it will sparkle. Overall though, I had it checked out and this ring is the real deal, it is a 1/2ct black diamond and the setting is 14kt white gold.
